Attack Response
Once an attack is detected and confirmed by the Network Operations Center, the affected traffic is routed through a Mitigation Service. This filters out the attack traffic and allows the legitimate traffic to continue to its original destination. When the attack has subsided, the original direct path between the destination and the rest of the Internet is restored.
The Planet data center provides 24x7x365 redundant monitoring capabilities from server-oriented response centers in each city, as well as centralized network monitoring from the Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC has Cisco-certified technical support on duty at all times to rapidly respond to any network problem. In the event of some sort of natural disaster that could affect our headquarters facility in Houston, the NOC is able to transfer operations in another location before the disaster actually manifests itself."
